Audio Starting Automatically / Timeline Cue Points Off / Layer Showing Incorrectly
Hello everyone,
I'm having a lot of trouble. I'm going to attach the storyline file in case I'm not explaining this right... I am still very new!
Anyhow, I am having a lot of trouble with my second slide. The base layer automatically plays the audio "OOPS" (which is supposed to just play in the hover state of the question mark at the bottom and does so fine on slide 1). Can anyone help me figure out why?
Also, my timeline is messed up. I want the instructions and buttons at the bottom of slide 2's base layer to leave ONCE the user clicks a key... so this can transition into the correct or incorrect slide. But it isn't working. I tried cue points but deleted them as they were to no avail.
Lastly, the "correct slide" is acting strange. I clicked and unclicked "show objects on base layer" and it was showing the question mark and then just a white screen.
Any help is appreciated!! Happy holidays.
Thanks,
Sarah

I guess the auto play of OOPS on the second slide is because its on the second slide ;-) Default a initial slide never plays audio or video. Thats the default browser behaviour Storyline implemented. So you need a click to start audio on the first slide. Thats why the same setup as on the first slide...on the second slide works differently. I suspect.
I would set all audio to SlideLayers and trigger them when and where needed. So it works all consistently.
Further i suspect that your properties for SlideLayers ( click the little grey cogwheel downbelow in the Slide Layers panel ) are not set correctly.
Kind regards,
Math
