Bullets in Storyline

Can you please tell me how to create a hierarchical list of bullets in storyline, and how to use different shapes and sizes of bullets?

Thanks,

Lynn

  • Hey Lynn,

Currently, Storyline supports one level of bullets or numbered lists. We're working on improving the text formatting features. In the meantime, create multiple levels of bullets or numbered lists using any of the methods described here. Hope that's helpful

  • You can use the indent to simultate hierarchical bullets

they just cannot be different bullets

  • Is there an update to this?  I'm seeing these posts are over 7 years old.  I'm still having this problem in Articulate 360.

      Hi Julie,

      Great question!

Newer versions of Storyline do support multi-level lists. You can accomplish this by changing the bullet/number formatting using the drop-down arrow beside the bullet/number options on the ribbon:

If you have any questions about this, please let us know! We are happy to help!

  • I am struggling with setting indents for multi-levels bullets.  How do you set a .25 bullet indent, followed by a another bullet that is indented .5, and so on?

      Hi Judy,

Thanks for reaching out! This is a great question, and I'm happy to help!

You can set the indentation for bulleted text in the paragraph formatting options from the Home tab. Just be sure the text box is selected, so the formatting options are available:

Once you set the indentation, the next time you click Enter, the bullet point will start at the same setting. Here's a Peek recording of this. I hope this helps!

Thanks for your reply, Becca.  These instructions are for setting the space before the text.  How can I set the space before the bullet?  For example, if I want to position the bullet with a .6" indent before it, where is that setting?
