Can I 'unpublish' Rise content?

I've inherited some Rise content that I need to update in a new version. All our content is published directly to the web.

I'd like to retire the old version but I'd rather not delete it completely. Ideally I'd like to keep the content just not have it visible to anyone. Is this possible?

  • Hi KathRed!

    Happy to help with this!

Are you referring to a version of a Rise course that hasn't been updated within the Rise 360 dashboard? If so, you can duplicate the course and keep one version as your backup, then conduct your updates on the new, duplicated version. Also, this item will only be visible to you, the course owner, unless shared with others on your team.

If you are referring to keeping multiple versions of a Rise course hosted on your private server/website, I'm unable to provide direction for that process. When publishing from Rise 360 to the Web, the author will receive a zip file. I suggest conducting your updates in Rise 360, then publishing the new version to the Web. Give the new web package a unique title, so you can differentiate it from the existing content currently being hosted on your website.

Looking forward to hearing from you!
