Can Storyline lock a hotspot in place in a scrolling panel?
Hello Heroes...
I've got a problem where I've created a scrolling panel with text that needs to be highlighted. When I put a hot spot in the scrolling panel to make part of a sentence highlight, the hotspot doesn't get pulled into the panel. Instead, it stays in place as though its on the slide and not inside the scrolling box. Grouping the text box and the hotspot together within the scrolling panel doesn't seem to work either.
How would I get around this type of error? Does anyone have any suggestions to fix this? Or come up with a work around if this is a bug?
Thanks for your help,
Jesse Spinella
Jesse,
To get this to work, I've added my text and hotspots (outside the scrolling panel) and then grouped them. Next, move the group into the scroll panel. Note: It is a bit touchy and may take a number of attempts to get it to enter the panel. Once there, I recommend using your arrow keys to position the group.

Hello,
For some reason, I cannot group the hotspot and the text. Do you know how to fix it? Thank you so much!

Note: that's a text box within a scrolling panel with text that needs to be highlighted when you mouse over a sentence. Sorry, I guess I didn't explain that too well.

If the hotspot is in the scrolling panel then it will be locked in place, the scrolling panel has a mind of its own though so sometimes the hotspot does not get into the scroll panel

Hrm, okay, so it's just a bit touchy is all then? Having issues trying to get it to work. But if it's just me, then I'll keep playing with it.
Thanks!

Awesome, I hadn't thought of that... thanks! I'll try it out.

Pls help.

@wat score,
Can you load a demo for us to look at? I'm not sure that I'm able to visualize the outcome.
Thanks!

Is there a way to have a scrolling pane "start" at a certain point, in order to highlight a section. Shown below, when I click the button, I would like the image to show this certain point, but allow the user to still scroll the entire paper if needed?
Does that make sense?
Hi Jason and welcome to Heroes!
There is not an option within the Storyline scrolling panels to "anchor" them to a particular starting point or ensure that they open to a particular point when a button is clicked. It sounds like it would be a cool feature request though!
