Closed Captioning for videos created in Storyline

Hello!  I am creating a  series of short platform demonstration videos using Storyline, as it provides me the ability to enhance sections, add text, animations and more! Where I am struggling is with the closed captions generated by SL for the video. The font is large and white, which does not display well with the platform design. I have tried changing the font and background colour in the Player, however, that does not change the closed captions in the VTT file for the video. Is there something I can do to work around this?
