Content screen is zoomed in too far when sidebar is set to expand on the second or subsequent slides.
I'm using SL Beta x64. My slide properties and Player settings are below:
- The Slide Properties on the first slide have the Notes unchecked. - All subsequent slides have the Notes checked.
- In the Player settings, the "Sidebar starts collapsed" box is unchecked.
When I play the published course, the slide with the Notes enabled (checked) shows the sidebar expanded. However, the content screen is zoomed in and the content doesn't fit on the stage. To fix this view, I must toggle the sidebar off, and then on again to auto-resize the screen so it will fit.
Is this a bug or I'm doing something wrong?
Hi Daniel,
Happy to help!
I haven't encountered this issue before so I'd like to ask a few questions to clarify your experience:
- Can I ask if you've tried testing your project file using Storyline 360's 32-bit version?
- Are you able to consistently replicate the behavior in other project files?
Additionally, would you be willing to share a copy of your project file here or in private by opening a support case, as well as a screenshot of the issue so we can take a closer look at what's happening? We'll delete it when we're done testing!

This exact same issue is happening with me! This happens with some files not all, and it's been happening for years.
Hi Arielle!
Thank you for letting us know that this is happening to you as well! I'm having a difficult time recreating this on my end. Is it possible that you can share a .story file where this happening with us? You can share it in this discussion or privately in a support case.
