Course Reviewer Bypass in Storyline?

Is there a way to grant specific users a reviewer bypass option to expedite testing/review of a Storyline course? Courses with slide triggers and actions for a learner do not facilitate course review. Is there a way to assist in troubleshooting or expediting course review?

  • It sounds like your course has restricted navigation and/or requires users to complete certain interactions.

You could program ways to skip ahead, and only tell the specific users. For example, you could use a key press or add a hidden button for jumping to the next slide.

For courses in Review 360, I usually turn off restricted navigation. Plus, if the course doesn't use the built-in Menu, I add it as a "TEMP REVIEW MENU" tab. I also include a message at the start that tells reviewers the final course will have restricted navigation, but that is turned off for their convenience during the review.

As for the required interactions, well, I think all reviewers should have to complete those to review the content. But with an unrestricted Menu, they could still bypass whatever they want during the review.
