Exporting Rise360 projects to ZIP
TL;DR: Not possible.
After a very long back-and-forth email with support, they confirmed it that it would not be possible to do such thing as export-import. It is what I have feared --which possibly by design-- and also mentioned long and wide in the replies.
Thank you all, it's just no go.
There is no way to "export" an editable version of Rise. That's, to me, is the main drawback of Rise. To maintain the ability to edit a Rise course, one must maintain an Articulate license.
Here's a screenshot from the most relevant section of the Terms of Service (https://www.articulate.com/360-terms-of-service/ ):
Articulate retains Rise courses for 6 months after you end your license. That means the courses would be available again if you renew your license within that time. However, as soon as you terminate your Articulate license, you lose access to Rise. In other words, you lose the ability to send copies.
For your partner organizations to have editable versions, they need to buy an Articulate license before yours ends, so you can send them copies of the Rise courses you developed. And they need to maintain that Articulate license. (If you send the course to a person with a trial version, the course will only be retained for 6 months after the trial ends.)
The other option would be to find another organization or company with an Articulate license that is willing to accept ownership of the courses.
If neither of those options is feasible, then your partner organization (or someone else they work with) will have to recreate the course when it needs to be edited. That process will be easier if they have a Word document with all the text, plus all of the photos, graphics, and other media files.
