formatting tool as default a pain

I haven't built much in SL for a while - my client's have all wanted Rise. So I've just learned that that annoying formatting thing with the persistent onscreen icon is now the default. I never used it - never liked it - and I don't like having my layouts busy with them. I'm hoping there's a way to turn it off, like there was to turn it on.

    If you go to File -> Storyline Options, you can choose not to use the upgraded text on new projects. It won't change on this project you're working on, but new courses you create.
