Help with Morphing

I'm trying to use the morph effect to set up a menu, but not sure what is going on.  I"ve done the same thing for each slide / trigger, but some of them are doing a morph and some a dissolve.

There is also a weird flash on the slides that do morph..

I've rebuilt it more than once, and have no idea why this is going on.

Help!!!!!

So, you do have some duplicated morph IDs, which will pose a problem, but there is something else amiss with the slides. After recreating some of the objects, the transition works sometimes and not others with no real  indication why. Not sure if this is an issue with the morph process or something corrupted in the slides themselves. When you tried to recreate this, did you try it from scratch in an entirely new project without copying any of the old elements? If not, you could try that. Sometimes project files/slides become corrupted and even copying parts into a new project perpetuates the issues. I can't say that's the issue here, but since trying to fix things within the project produces inconsistent results, it would be the next step. Beyond that, you should likely raise an issue with Support.

Ultimately this is going to support, the level of frustration with this is high.  It is massively inconsistent, and on top of it, if you build a clean version on its own, (which works) then import it into another project as its own scene, all of the morphing is gone.

Not a fan of this morphing effect.

Sounds good. Also, I think the flash you saw was from the fade in applied to the secondary slide shape.

      Hi Ari_Avivi!

Glad to see Nathan_Hilliard has been helping you!

I'm sorry to hear you've run into this setback, working with the Morph Transition in Storyline. I can confirm we have this behavior logged as a bug in Storyline 360. This bug causes:

      • Morph Transition does not work on Objects with different numbers of lines of Text, or if the original Text has been modified on the Slide with the Transition.

I've linked this discussion to the bug report so we can notify you as soon as a fix is ready. As a workaround, we suggest maintaining the same number of lines of text per Object on the Slide, and avoid editing the text if possible.

Also, Nathan_Hilliard is correct. The flash you observed was due to the Fade Animations you had set on certain secondary Objects.

Thank you for your patience. I'm sorry if this has been slowing you down!
