How to create an exercise based on an Excel file?
For an e-learning course, I would like to have students start with a warm-up exercise where they search for the region they are located in. When they enter their municipality, they should receive the corresponding region as an answer. All this information is contained in the Excel file (attachment). How can I create this in Rise?
Hi pivopedagogie it is not possible to create what you are looking for using Rise. This is quite a specific piece of custom functionality and would require JavaScript to function. Currently, Rise does not provide a means to enter your own JavaScript to construct custom functionality. One of the ways that this can currently be done is to build the functionality in a Storyline file, and then insert the Storyline file as a block in Rise.
The downside to inserting Storyline blocks into Rise, is that on mobile devices, a play button must first be selected before interacting with the Storyline file, and Storyline files are not optimised for mobile.
