I can't open storyline files

I can't open any of my Storyline projects,  I'm getting the "This project is invalid or corrupt and cannot be opened. It may have been created in an earlier version of Storyline".  Or " This project is locked...." 

I have searched %appdata%\Articulate\Storyline they don't appear.

I have also tried using the Import function on all projects and I can't get any of my projects to open.

Would love to know what I'm doing wrong here.
