Key Press Triggers for Mobile Devices

Hi everyone!

I'm building a quiz interaction that moves a mouse through a maze using key presses. You move the mouse with your keyboard arrows (up, down, left, right) and hit a hotspot to reveal the question (initially hidden state). 

I would like to know if key presses are compatible with mobile devices. Would tapping the screen work, or a supplemental trigger? I originally had arrow keys on the slide that controlled the interaction with "user clicks" triggers, but for accessibility, I switched the interaction.
