learner answers question and then show that answer later on....

Hi All,

I'm working on a module where I want to ask the learner to fill in the blank.  Then a few slides later I want to show the answer that the learner wrote in earlier...   I know I have done this before... but its been a number of years and I can't remember how... any suggestions?

thank you!

  • Hey, Shanna! I am assuming that you are using a text data entry field. Storyline should automatically create a variable to track the typed value. By default it’s usually TextEntry. You can type your variable name bracketed by two percentage signs (e.g., %TextEntry%) to display that answer on later slides. You can also go to the Insert menu and locate the Reference option in the text section to see and insert the variable names into your slides.

  • What!!!  mind blown.  I'm just learning how to use variables.  Thank you.... this was super helpful.
