Microlearning checkbox doesnt appear in Review 360 or Scormcloud
Hi,
I'm creating a short microlearning course where people have to attest they understand the content of the course. I've added a checkbox above the continue button and set the continue button to only allow users to proceed if the checkbox is ticked.
However, my issue is that when I go in to review this (either in Review 360 or externally via Scormcloud) the checkbox has disappeared. See screenshots.
Hello everyone!
I'm excited to share that we've released a new Rise 360 update that includes a fix for:
- Checkbox lists with only one item could disappear when previewed or published.
There’s nothing to install for web apps. New features and fixes are immediately available.
Let me know if you have any questions about this update!

Hi Oliver! I can see that you have a support case that's open with us, and you're working with Darwin. Please feel free to work with him directly via email.

We are having exactly the same problem, if a unit has been generated using a microlearning unit as a base, then the checkbox does not appear either in preview or in the published course.
However, if we painstakingly copy each block into a new template then copy the template into a new course the checkbox appears.
Any solution?
Hi Tanya,
Thanks for reaching out! I was unable to replicate this behavior on my end.
- What browser are you currently using? Does this behavior happen in a different browser?
- Are you able to replicate the behavior on a new Rise 360 microlearning?
If you are still experiencing this issue after recreating these blocks, please open a case with our support team here so we can investigate what's happening.

Just flagging that I'm also encountering issue as at May 2025. It appears to be caused by adding a 'Continue' block below the checkbox. This is problematic as I want to use the checkbox for a learner to confirm they have completed an activity, which then enables the 'Continue' button. This is happening on both Chrome and Edge.
Any advice is appreciated.Hi LukeBarrett-aab,
Sorry to hear that you ran into this issue.
It appears you're being affected by a known bug in Rise 360 that causes a checkbox list block with only one item to disappear if it's the last block of a lesson. Can you please try increasing the bottom padding of the checkbox list block to 80 to see if this temporarily fixes the issue for you?
In the meantime, I've added this thread to the bug report so we can notify you as soon as a fix is released.- LukeBarrett-aabCommunity Member
Hi Jose,
Thanks for the quick reply. That seems to have done the trick. Appreciate the support.

Hello...
Edit ModePreview Mode
First time posting here, but reading the message thread, this is the exactly the issue I am having in June 2025.
I've attached 2 screen shots. The first in Rise 360 Edit mode. The second, is in Preview mode.As with the previous posts, I am asking learners to confirm they have completed a task to allow the continue button to appear. The continue button is set to appear when the block directly above is completed. The text and check box disappears in Preview mode.
I'm using the Edge browser, but the same issue exists in Chrome and on a separate device.
I've tried the block padding settings work around. That works, but then the optic of the block is not what I'm wanting for the learners.
Can the issue be resolved to allow this feature to function seamlessly within the standard customisations available on the platform? This thread appears to be 2 years old, but the same challenge exists. - AnnallerCommunity Member
We are currently facing the same problem.

Additionally, adding a blank paragraph doesn't help.
The work around with the block padding helps, but this shouldn't be the final solution as it is not fitting in our design guidelines. Furthermore, we have to check all existing courses, which is a lot manual effort! Please fix this issue.
Many thanks in advance! Hello everyone!
