Reference for Designing a Porfolio?

Hi all,

I am wondering if there is a standard reference for designing a portfolio?

Please provide a link of a good reference if possible.

I setup a wordpress site with my portfolio projects and a short bio on myself, but it's definitely not up to the level of portfolios I've seen within the Articulate community and elsewhere.

I'd appreciate a reference link and some suggestions.

Thanks

  • Hi, Ben.

    Thank you for reaching out!

Take a look at two of our E-Learning Challenges related to Portfolios:

    • Share Your E-Learning and Instructional Design Portfolios #333 Challenge | Recap
    • Share Your E-Learning Portfolios with Rise 360 #254  Challenge | Recap

I hope those can inspire you!

      Thanks Maria!

Actually what I'm looking for is a guide on the process of designing a Portfolio. Ideally, a step by step approach with a  checklist would be helpful for a newbie.

  • Hi Ben!

I thought I'd pop in and share some examples I found of portfolios from the 74 Examples of Portfolios for E-Learning Designers #46 E-Learning Challenge. Lots of creative examples!

I also found a few articles that shares tips for what to include in an E-Learning Portfolio:

What to Include in an E-Learning Portfolio

Why You Need an E-Learning Portfolio

Perhaps these materials will spark some inspiration for your Portfolio creation in addition to Maria's recommendations above!

    Thanks,

    Luciana

I'll definitely, check it out - Thanks!

  • So kind of you to say, Ben! :)

You're welcome! Glad I could pass along additional ideas.

    Happy hunting!

  • Hello, can anyone advise what is the best platform to host a portfolio from? Does Articulate have a solution? Thanks, Dan
