Remove or Hide Rise Microlearn Title

Is there a way to remove or hide a title on the cover page? I have created image headers with the title built in and don't want a pre-populated overlay title.

  • Hi, JenniferLynch-5!

    I'm happy to help here. If you delete the Title on the cover page of your microlearning, it shouldn't appear when you preview or publish the course. Here's a quick demo to show you what I did. Just a quick note that when publishing your course, you may see a pop-up to give your course a title. Select Publish to continue without adding a title. Please let me know if you have any questions!

      Thanks for the demo, Kelly. Quick follow-up: how can I remove the title within the microlearn while still being able to name it on my Rise content page? I want to distinguish and search for my microlearns easily. Thanks!

        Hi JenniferLynch-5!

        Glad to see Kelly has been helping you!

        Unfortunately, it is not possible to remove a Rise 360 course title, while retaining that title in the dashboard display. I do understand your need for this type of configuration, so I've shared this as a feature request with our product team!

        As a workaround, I suggest:

        1. Creating a new Shortcuts Folder, with a name of your choosing.
        2. Add any title-less course to My Shortcuts.
        3. From within My Shortcuts, move the course to the newly created Shortcuts Folder.

        This should help you organize and access those particular courses more easily.

        Please let me know if you need anything else!

    Deleting the title would make managing your course(s) very difficult in the Rise admin, not to mention the impacts on accessibility. Please don't do this. My best recommendation is using a CSS theme component to visually hide the title, if you have a title treatment already designed in your cover page image. But make sure it displays well on device sizes. Here's how to hide the default title text in microlearning without affecting accessibility:

    CSS used in the video:

    h1#title {
      text-indent: -9000px;
    }
