Reset Questions in Question Bank After Review Button
Hi everyone,
Is there a way in Storyline 360 to reset to multiple choice questions on a question slide that is set to automatically decide after the learner has selected the retry quiz button after the review button. I am using a results slide with a retry button and review button. Once the learner reviews the feedback after the review button, and selects the retry button, the quiz questions are locked. How do I reset for multiple attempts?
Thanks
Sandy

If you are using the built-in Retry button, it contains 2 triggers: a reset result and a jump to slide trigger. The actions can address that issue. Have you removed or edited the Reset Results Trigger?
If you open this trigger, you also have the option to only reset the incorrect choices. The key is to use the programming that is baked in as much as possible.

Hi Ron,
I am using a built-in retry button. It's resetting the results and jumping back to the slide to restart the quiz.
Thanks

But the questions are still locked? Can you share your file?

SandyDutra-e336: Check the Slide Properties. For the question slides, it's best to use Automatically Decide. That lets Storyline do what's needed for reviewing and retrying.

I do have all the slides set to automatically decide

Thanks for sharing the file. You will want to make sure your JUMP TO trigger is last in the order of triggers

Thanks I will try that. Is there a way to hide the next button when they re-try the quiz.

The Next Buttons are not on by default when building quiz questions. You have overridden that setting and turned them on. Is there a reason you wanted or needed the Next Buttons on? You have Jump to next slide triggers based on your layer timeline.
If there is a reason, then yes. . . you can control the state of a next button similar to how you are controlling the state of your Submit Button.

On first visit I want the next button hidden on the first attempt of the question, I want it visible when the user reviews the incorrect/correct answers and then hidden when they re-try the quiz.
How can I trigger this?

Of course. This is the normal behavior of a Storyline quiz. You should not have to do anything except populate your content. Review will turn on the Next Buttons for you. When you reset the Results then you get the Submit buttons back.
