Restricted Navigation with option to skip content

Is it possible to have a course with restricted navigation that also allows you to skip over content?

I have a course that allows people to skip the second half of a lesson if they are not responsible for carrying out an activity in their job. In lesson 1, the "skip button" takes them to the the beginning of lesson 2. That lesson opens fine and the person is able to work through it. When they get to lesson 3, they are blocked from opening it because lesson 1 was not completed.

Is there a way that the learner can manually mark lesson 1 complete? Or is there any work around? The section of the lesson that is skipped includes review questions, so it's more than just a little content.

Thank you!

  • In Rise 360, you can adjust these under the Themes>Navigation settings

    Thanks Ron,

Unfortunately, I need them to only be able to mark one specific lesson complete, not all of them.

Hi WendyDufour! We don't offer that option to mark one lesson complete. As a workaround, and possibly a heavy lift, you might consider creating separate courses if you need to restrict a learner from portions of a course. I hope other community members will jump in if they've created something similar!
