Rise Course complications in Workday Learning on a Samsung S5e

Hi!

I am seeking guidance on an issue with a course created in Rise. We have created and exported (SCORM) dozens of courses for Workday Learning and not run into these issues before.

The course is exported in SCORM 2004v4, loaded into Workday Learning, and accessed via company issued Samsung S5e tablets.

  • We've found that Google Chrome is not the best browser and tested the native browser, "Browser."
  • If the bluetooth keyboard is used to enter anything in the course, it causes the learner to be reset to to the top of the lesson they are in; it does not allow them to advance. We tested without the bluetooth keyboard and it allowed the learner to advance.
  • By design within each lesson the "Continue" button is locked until the learner completes the content above it. It does not perform consistently, sometimes the learner can go to the next section without completing what they were supposed to.
  • Along those lines, there are many times where the interactive features for the flip cards and images in a carousel appear to have already been flipped or scrolled through, even though the learner is just seeing them for the first time.

Some background info, the learner has to log back into the tablet every so often, I believe that is in the security settings set up by the company. The tablet does allow them to pick up where they left off, but only if the learner is using the native browser, isn't using the bluetooth keyboard, and sometimes reorient the tablet from landscape to portrait or vice versa.

Any advice?

(We've also begun testing it in SCORM 1.2 and SCORM 2004v2, to see if that has any impact on the way the course performs.)

Thanks in advance!

  • HI Baziel! So sorry to hear you're encountering issues with Rise in Workday LMS.  I can see that John Carlo, one of our technical support engineers, has replied to your case via email. (Case number 03501689)
