Save and Continue - typed information

Hi, 

I am creating a Rise 360 item that will go on to a LM system. It needs to be an ongoing item that may take 3-6 months to complete.  I want the learner to type in information on the t0pic over a period of time.  I will take about 6months to complete and we need them to update the course with specific information as they go e.g. met mary from L&D 16Jan2023 , save that information then next week they will update with further details. At the end of the 6months I want to be able to print off what they have completed and look at the detail. I have pulled over a survey from from Storyline for them to type the information on but now that I am testing it on the LMS it is not saving the information - Has anyone experience on something like this or suggestions on how to make this work?
