SCORM settings and LMS functionality
My organization is currently testing out different LMSs and their compatibility with our Rise and Storyline 360 SCORM files (SCORM 2004, 3rd edition, 100% course completion tracking, Passed or Completed/Incomplete reporting).
Are there any SCORM settings that we can adjust manually on our end to ensure the pop-up windows close automatically? They work as expected in one LMS; in the other, the windows remain open.
Does adding a button block with the destination set to "Exit the course (LMS only)" perform the same function as the "Exit Course" link in the publish settings?
Any guidance would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hi DimesheaRay-278 I think this functionality is usually up to the LMS when the Exit course trigger is run, which then runs the SCORM Terminate( “” ). This will close the SCORM comms, and in some LMS it will trigger a further (lms specific) action such as closing a window or navigating back to the course launch page.
From memory, although I haven't reviewed this for a long time, how the content is configured to launch will affect the "Exit course" trigger. For example, if the content is configured to launch in a new browser window, the "Exit course" trigger will also attempt to close the browser window using the JavaScript function window.close();
If the pop-up window is generated by the LMS, it should be up to the LMS to manage that window though and close it when exiting the course.

Thank you for the reply SamHill! This makes sense. I'll share this with my team to see if it helps.
