Slide size changed when I inserted template.
Hi all. I am new to storyline and I am on a bit of a time crunch. I am just currently using the trial version. I inserted a template into my project and it changed the proportions of all of my other slides and they are totally out of whack. Is there a way I can restore my slides to what I had before I inserted this template?
Hi Scott,
Happy to help!
I did a quick test on my end and observed that inserting templates from Content Library 360 doesn't change the existing size of the slide. The opposite happened for me - the imported template from Content Library 360 adjusted to fit the current slide size. I next tested importing .storytemplate files and can confirm that the behavior is the same, the imported slides from the custom template takes the size of the existing slide, and does not alter the slide size of the current project.
With that being said, would you be willing to share a copy of your project file here or in private by opening a support case so we can so we can check to see how we can restore the original size of your slides? We'll delete your files afterwards.

Hi Jose. Thank you for this quick response! So the slide size itself didn't change. The formatting was all out of whack though. The images and objects were not in their proper place. Oddly, I discovered some slides were just fine. On other slides I had a white background show. I fixed the white background thing by going into the master slide and adjusted the formatting that way. As for the images I just re-adjusted them on each slide. So since I figured this out do you still want me to share a copy of my project file? Either way I'm good. Thanks again for you feedback!
Hi Scott,
Thanks for sharing what you're currently observing and what you did to resolve this on your end!
