Start animation when user clicks

Hello everybody!

To add some litte interactivity i want that my content appears after a user clicks (on an icon or somewhere on the slide). Is this possible?

Thanks in advance, Kr

  • Hi, Lena1.

    Thank you for reaching out!

You can certainly trigger an animation or appearance of an object based on a button/shape click. For example, if you have an animation on a motion path, you can start it when the user clicks the button:

Or you could have a shape with a hidden initial state, turning it to Normal when the user clicks the button:

Let me know if this helps or if you have additional questions!

One more question: the animation works now, but how can i have a white space before the user clicks on the button and the content appears? Now the content is already from the beginning on the slide... Thank you for the support.

  • Hi, Lena1.

Without seeing your project, my initial suggestion would be to use an entrance animation. See below:

If that's not what you're looking for, I'm happy to take a look at the .story file if you can share it here.
