Storyline pulling in wrong Vyond & WellSaid file
Hello everyone,
We use Vyond and WellSaid and are having the same issue with both tools inside Storyline. Issue: we create a revised video or audio. If the file has a similar timestamp, Storyline is disregarding the selected element and imports in the wrong file.
In the attached visual, notice the video names and timestamps. Storyline, regardless of which one I selected defaulted to the 2/7/2025 file with 1:36 TS. To test this theory I extended the timeline of the 2/11/2025 video in Vyond to 1:40, downloaded it with a new name and length I could insert it. But if I tried to add one of the 1:36 timestamp videos Storyline defaulted to the 2/7/2025 file regardless of what I selected.

If you are only playing one audio clip, I would put the others on the respective layers that appear to be triggered by selecting the different "methods" tabs.
You could also try adding the primary clip to the Vyond video.
And I would be sure to create a new version (filename) of the Storyline file, and remove the other audio clip(s) that you are replacing with the updated one(s).
If these steps don't help, you should probably open a support ticket.

Sorry for any confusion but we are not placing two audio or videos on top of each other. Simply trying to get Storyline to pull in the selected files into the timeline.
See how the file names look the same? We pulled in 3 different videos and Storyline choose only one to bring into the timeline. So the video names should be different.Hi AllysonKaczmare!
Glad to see Joe has been helping you!
Sorry to hear that imported videos are being duplicated on Storyline's timeline. It would be easier to troubleshoot this behavior if we could see a copy of the .MP4 videos, as well as the .story file you've been working with. I've opened a support case on your behalf, and sent an e-mail containing an upload link you can use to share those items privately.
In the meantime, can you confirm all of the files (.story & Vyond content) are stored on your local hard drive, and not a network or share drive? Also, have you tried performing a repair of your Storyline installation to see if that improves the issue?
Looking forward to hearing from you!

Good morning everyone,
Thank you for reaching back on this topic.
I did share the videos with Articulate and it is an issue.
Sorry for any confusion on my visuals, but in essence if a video or audio clip is of a similar length, regardless of which audio or video I am selecting Articulate Storyline is arbitrarily selecting a different one with the same timestamp. The timestamp seems to be the issue. A workaround we have found is to lengthen the clip and then edit it within Storyline.
