Storyline Tab Interaction with Audio Glitch on Layers

Hi Everyone!

I was wondering if y'all might be able to help me with a challenge that has me scratching my head!

The audio on each layer is supposed to stop whenever a different tab is clicked. However, if someone clicks the Hazardous Waste tab (Layer 2), Hazardous Chemicals tab (Layer 3), Hazardous Waste Generator (Layer 4), or Point of Accumulation tab (Layer 5), and then goes back and clicks Hazardous Materials (HazMat) (Layer 1), the audio of the Hazmat tab will play at the same time as the audio from the other tab.

I've been messing with this backwards and forwards. Then, when this interaction was reviewed on Review 360, the audio kept cutting off a few seconds in. I'm assuming that was just our network, but it seems worth mentioning for context.

My big question: How can I fix this slide so that the audio playback cleanly switches between the layers/tabs?

It appears that the storyline file is not uploading, so here is the Review 360 link to at least demonstrate the glitch:

My first thought would be to set the properties of this layer to match the other layer’s settings. Also, make sure that “Hide other slide layers” is checked on the layer that’s causing the issue.

From what I can see, when you return to Hazardous Materials (HazMat) – Layer 1, the previous layer isn’t being properly hidden, so both layers are displayed at the same time. I can’t determine the exact cause without checking your file, though someone with sharper focus on the setup might be able to solve it in a second.

Hey Nedim, Thank you SO much for looking into this and setting me on the right track!

Once I pulled up the properties tab, it turns out that I needed to indeed select "hide other slide layers," and also change "When revisiting" to "Reset to initial state" for all the layers:

Thanks again, and have a great day!
