Timeline Missing

We are working with someone who has received a Storyline file from another university. She wanted to make an edit to the video. I have done this in the past by right clicking and editing or replacing the video. For this specific slide, that is not an option. Also, the timeline is blank with not audio or mp4, but it does have an end point at ~84 seconds. When I preview the slide, the video plays. It's almost as if the video is set as the background, but I don't see that anywhere.

Questions: 

  1. Why isn't there anything in the timeline when something is clearly playing?
  2. How can I edit/download the video?

    HI Taylor,

    Strange, but maybe for some reason the video is being played within the slide master. Have you checked there?

    If not there, you could download the video by exporting it from the Media Library, editing it outside of Storyline, and then replacing it.
