"Undo" and "Snapshot" limitations in Rise 360
I am writing to express significant frustration regarding the current "Undo" and "Snapshot" limitations in Rise 360.
Recently, I accidentally entered content into the wrong module, overwriting existing information. Because the "Undo" notification disappears after a few seconds and there is no automated version history, I was forced to choose between keeping the error or reverting to a manual snapshot from hours prior. I ultimately lost 5 hours of work.
The current system is inadequate for professional workflows for the following reasons:
- The Undo Notification is too brief: Once the small pop-up vanishes, changes are permanent.
- Snapshots are manual: If a user forgets to take a snapshot, there is no safety net.
- Lack of Block-Level History: There is no way to "roll back" a specific block or lesson to a previous state.
Requested Improvements:
- Automated Version History: A list of recent auto-saves (similar to Google Docs or Figma) that allows users to restore previous versions of a lesson.
- Persistent Undo: A standard Ctrl+Z function that works throughout the current session, not just via a temporary pop-up.
- Trash/Archive for Content: A way to recover overwritten or deleted blocks.
This is a critical usability issue that impacts productivity and data security. I look forward to hearing how Articulate plans to address these gaps.
