Variables in Rise

Hi,

 

Just wondered whether there are any plans to introduce Variables into Rise?

 

For me, Variables are the magic dust within Storyline that allow you to do so much. The lack of equivalent functionality within Rise is the main reason our organisation continues to use Storyline, even though Rise obviously has benefits like mobile-friendly content and speed of development.

    Hi WilliamTempe429,

    Great question, and I can definitely see where you’re coming from.

    At the moment, Rise 360 doesn’t support variables in the same way Storyline does.

    I’ve shared your feedback with our product team so they can better understand how valuable this capability would be, especially for teams balancing speed of development with more advanced interactivity.

      Thanks Eric. I suppose the absence of equivalent functionality to Triggers in Rise might be a limiting factor (i.e. where you tell the software what to do / display depending on the value of a Variable), but then again I don't know what Storyline / Rise looks like behind the scenes from a technical perspective!
