Video in Storyline won't stop at the end in timeline
On one of my slides, I inserted a video with text and audio overlaying it. The video is really just something to engage the learner - the text and audio is the meat. Therefore, at the end of my audio, I want the video to stop. On the timeline, I moved the End mark where I want the video to stop playing. When I push the play button (under the timeline/states/notes), it functions like I want. However, when I preview the slide or project, the video keeps playing and doesn't stop until it's completed even though in the timeline it shows that it should stop much earlier.
I know that I can trim the video, but this is tedious compared to doing this in the timeline. Is there something that I'm missing? Do I really have to edit and trim the video manually? I have multiple slides like this so I was hoping this would be easier.

You could try adding a trigger that stops the video when the media <audiofile> completes.

A couple of weeks ago I was working on a project where things were normal, you put the end of the timeline at any point and the video would stop there "with the last frame". but for some reason this is not happening anymore.
Hello Ramadan,
Happy to look into this for you!
Would you be willing to share a copy of your project file here or privately by opening a support case so we can check how your triggers are setup? We'll delete it when we're done testing!
