Visited States with layers

I tried to use the 'Visited' state with layers (see attached example). I'm missing a step, but can't figure out what's wrong. Please help! Would love to use in courses.

There is no need to create extra triggers to turn a button to the Visited state. The Visited state is a built-in state that is automatically activated when a user clicks an object that has a Visited state defined.

The same applies to the Hover state, which appears to be a custom-made state (hoverState) in your file. In Storyline, Hover is also a default state that activates automatically when the user hovers over an object.

You should remove the triggers for all three buttons that manually change the state to Visited or Hover. I recommend deleting your custom 'hoverState' state and using the default Hover state instead.

Please find the attached file with these corrections and let me know if it works for you.

For more detailed and technical information about built-in object states in Storyline, I recommend studying and learning from the best:
