Fast-forward through videos in Rise
In Rise, do you let learners fast-forward through videos, or do you prevent them from doing so?
Do you think it's better to always allow it, always block it, or decide based on the context?
What drives your choice? 🎥💡

Decide based on context — and make the default match the video's job. If the video carries the actual instruction (a demo, a walkthrough, a compliance explanation), I lock the seekbar so learners can't skip content they're assessed on. If it's reference or enrichment (a talking-head intro, a recap), I leave the seekbar on — blocking it there just breeds resentment without changing what they learn. My test: if a learner could pass your assessment without watching the video, the video shouldn't be locked — the assessment is the problem, not the seekbar.
