Localization News!
I totally agree to the comments on prices. I tried Localization too and was eager to buy it but the pricing did also stop us from doing so. The translation is very fast and the review process is great but we tested another authoring tool with same functionalities but the translation costs are way - and I mean really way cheaper. So unfortunately we are thinking about changing the tool, at least for the bigger projects.

Hi Andrea, can i ask out of interest which authoring tool you're thinking about changing to? We're in the same boat - we were really eager to add this but was horrified with the pricing. I work for a big firm but there's no way we would ever be able to get the sort of budget this would need. I think Articulate have made such a huge mistake with this.

May I know what the price is for localization? If you have any links, please provide me.

It's dynamic pricing and different for each user/organisation.

Hopefully articulate will develop a fair and transparent pricing structure for these features soon. We would really love to use the features but the pricing structure really prices most usecases out. It is especially bad for global companies that need lots of small translations. The pricing structure seems to be more oriented to the US market with limited demand for translations and to larger projects. Sadly this does not reflect our in company usage for internally generated content.

Hey Tejaswini! We have some pricing info on where localization pricing starts here on our pricing page; however, the price of localization varies enough (based on annual translation volume & specific details of your account & contract) that to get an actual quote we ask that you contact our sales team.
I know this may seem like a small detail but something I do want to clarify is that we do not use a "dynamic pricing" model (meaning, we are not changing the price behind the scenes based on market conditions, like how you might pay more for a taxi during rush hour). The pricing model is static, meaning that if two customers have the exact same conditions, they're going to be quoted the same price. It's just that the pricing model is complex enough that customers are going to tend to struggle to self-quote—this has a lot to do with the fact that each customer has different contract term lengths, renewal dates, etc that make it hard to apply an already complex "based-on translation volume" model.
We do hear the desire for the factors that influence pricing to be more transparent so that you can get a closer ballpark, but for the moment, your best bet is to contact sales (or your customer success manager, if you already have an account with us). We can usually get you a quote back within about 1-2 business days.
