New in Labs: Undo/Redo
Undo/redo is still in development and will receive updates as part of Labs. Functionality will change over time. Some options could be modified, while others may be removed based on feedback and feature stability.
In Rise 360, undo actions are generally handled by a pop-up notification in the bottom-left corner of the interface that goes away after 30 seconds. This experiment introduces persistent undo/redo buttons at the top of the Rise 360 interface.
How to Use/Access Undo/Redo
In the course outline, a lesson or quiz, or a microlearning, the undo and redo buttons appear at the top of the Rise 360 interface and are greyed out until you take an action (such as adding content or deleting lessons/blocks).
Note: This experiment isn't denoted with the Labs icon or a direct feedback link.
After taking an action, the undo button is activated. The undo/redo history lets you undo or repeat up to 50 subsequent actions.
After you undo an action, the redo button is enabled.
Note: Undo/redo actions are available only for the current creator and on the current screen. If you leave or reload the screen (like when you open the Manage Blocks sidebar), the action history is reset.
Undo/Redo FAQ
Are there any collaboration or accessibility issues?
None at this time. Please note that undo/redo history is creator-specific and isn't maintained with the content.
Does this change the Rise 360 experience in any other way?
Enabling undo/redo disables "Undo" pop-up notifications.

Love it! I always miss the disappearing undo. Also, 50 changes seems generous so that is awesome!
Hi Katie_S,
Great to hear that you've been exploring Undo/Redo in Rise 360. Thank you for the feedback!

I loved this feature; I no longer have the stress of the bottom bar and not being able to undo the change.

Like other posters on this topic, I think this is way less stressful than scrambling to find the little time-bomb count-down at the bottom. It's a great add!
Thanks for sharing, JeffreyDavis-15! Great to hear Undo/Redo has been improving your workflow.

As an accidental-deleter, I am so grateful for this enhancement! Thanks!

I have deleted whole paragraphs by accidently hitting keys when I was just trying to reformat. These types of mistakes don't get the 30sec undo. The absence of a static undo feature left me seriously unimpressed for far too long. I just tried it out and it works great. I hope this feature stays.
I'm sure a lot of us can relate to that, BrianKochanowsk! Great to hear Undo/Redo is adding value to your authoring experience.

I love the new feature! I have so often accidentally deleted an entire block and could not recover it! So I had to rewrite what was done earlier! This was so frustrating!
Thanks for sharing, IrisSchlabitz!

Some four-letter words used to feel “bad”… oops was definitely one of them. Not anymore not that there is an Undo button!
I didn’t expect this to become my favorite new feature, but here we are. No more stress when something goes wrong, no more scrambling to beat a timer or dig through snapshots. It’s just… fixed.
What I really love is the confidence it adds. I can try changes freely, see what works, and not worry about saving screenshots or copying everything “just in case.” It makes the whole experience feel smoother—and a lot more forgiving
Thanks for letting us know, Azimuth45! This is great feedback for Kyle_Clements and his team.

I can't wait to try this new functionality! I agree with the previous comments - especially comparing the pop-up to a time-bomb! LOL
Sounds good, MaryJansen-2db7! Feel free to share your feedback with us, here!

I love all the new experimental features, but this one will definitely help me a lot!
The "undo" pop-up notifications used to come in my way when i was deleting multiple blocks.
Great to hear, RabihRiman! Thanks for sharing.
