    Hi Katie-Jordan,
First of all, I would like to express my sincere gratitude for the opportunity to share my project in your upcoming weekly newsletter. It is an honor and a real joy for me to be able to offer this work free of charge to the community and to everyone.

I created this trilingual module with two goals in mind:

To make learning Japanese easier in a gradual and engaging way.

To offer gentle and stimulating cognitive training, particularly suited to exercising memory, visual recognition, and association skills.

    How?
Using Storyline 360, I carefully structured each screen:

Layers to guide users step by step and avoid cognitive overload.

Variables to reward each effort (sakura flowers) and maintain motivation.

A measured increase in difficulty, where each “episode” introduces a new family of characters, like chapters in an unfolding adventure.

The idea behind each module goes beyond simply memorizing hiragana. It also involves:

Training the memory to retain new symbols and their sounds.

Developing visual recognition by associating a shape (the character) with a sound, then with a concrete word.

Strengthening associative connections (symbol → sound → meaning) in a natural and repeated way, in a supportive and fun environment.

Each lesson is designed to be a step forward in both discovering Japanese and maintaining cognitive abilities, all in a structured, positive, and rewarding adventure.
