Storyline: Employee Conversation Branching Scenario
Prompting learners to practice navigating difficult conversations through e-learning is an excellent way to help boost their confidence—and get it right in real life. In this inspiring example featuring a Storyline 360 branching scenario, learners take on the role of a manager and try to uncover why an employee is showing up to work late. Based on their choices, they’re presented with custom feedback to see how different decisions lead to new outcomes.
Creating custom, immersive scenarios like this one is easy in Storyline 360. Combining features like layers, triggers, conditions, and variables lets you create a scenario that feels tailored to your learners’ needs.

- MalvikaMalhotraCommunity MemberThis is a nice example Eva. Would love to see the source file, if possible for my learning.
- ScottNipperCommunity MemberI agree with other on having the story file. It's great to see what other people do but the real value of the community to me is really about helping others understand HOW the work is accomplished.
- MakiWiering-eafCommunity MemberJust want to say thank you, Eva, for sharing your piece. We really appreciate it--it is done very well!
- EvaDanielsCommunity MemberThank you Maki for your kind words and taking the time to view it.
- JamesWHenryCommunity MemberWhat a robust and useful experience! The dramatic storytelling element is very compelling, along with the grounded, real-life scenario and cognitive framework (STATE), which was new to me. Being new to the ID world (about half way through my MA now), I can't yet wrap my head around all the programming work you put in, but I can definitely say the UI and experience was solid. There were times when I was a little confused about which elements were thoughts, dialogue or scene descriptions, but again, I don't know how much challenging work is involved in composing this project, and I assume there was a ton. Thanks for sharing!
