Well, I actually attended today's Tips and Tricks webinar where they brought up the Badge Passport Challenge. I went over to that post and saw you can get awarded a badge for posting in the Welcome Center. And that's when I thought, "Wait, there's a Welcome Center??" I'm not as interested in earning the badge (I'm the worst at participating in gamification) as much as I am in finding a familiar name or discovering a kindred spirit 😃
Absolutely LOVE this answer. That's exactly why we made the passport challenge—I think you're right that although badges are fun, they're certainly not as meaningful as real connection with others. But they sure are a cool way to get people knowing about areas of the community they may not have known about before! Thrilled to get to see your name pop up here and excited to get to know you better.
