Engage '09 - Hyperlink issues (all go to the same place)
Jun 23, 2015
Hi,
I've seen this reported by others but not found the solution on the forum.
I am adding three hyperlinks to external URLs onto the same slide in a process interaction in Engage '09.
I am following the method - highlighting the text, clicking the world icon, typing in the URL and clicking the green tick to check it works. I have tested it in preview and also published it and all three links go to the last URL that I put in.
When I go back to edit my slide, in the add hyperlink menus, the 3 URLs have all been changed to the same one.
Can anyone help me fix this?
Thanks, Laura

Hi, Laura --
There are a few things we can try to rule out the causes of some common errors. Can you please confirm that you are all working locally? It's important to always save and publish to your local hard drive (typically your C: drive). Working on a network drive or an external (USB) drive can cause erratic behavior, such as file corruption, an inability to save changes, and loss of resources. Please also see this information on Unexpected or Erratic Behavior in Articulate Engage '09, as well as How to Repair Articulate Engage '09.
Also, please be sure that you are testing your published output in the intended environment. Please refer to this page for more information.
Thanks for this. We work on a virtual network, so we're always on network drives, but I have managed to get access to a local machine and it works. It is still putting in a extra space after each link that doesn't appear before published, but I have got round this by taking out my space.
Thank you!!
Oh no, I spoke too soon. this worked for the first interaction, but it's still doing the same thing when I work on the others. Will keep trying.
Thanks for the update Laura, just let us know.
Hi, Laura - Sorry to hear you are still experiencing issues, but as Leslie said, please feel free to let us know if there is anything more we can do to assist! :)
Thanks, I've now asked our IT Dept. to reinstall/repair Studio and see if it fixes it :)
