How do you change templates?

Sep 14, 2023

Hi all.

I am using timeline template in engage360 desktop and would like to change the template to accordion or something else, because it's a big history timeline.

Is there a way to export all of your content (not for translation, unless I can use the xliff file) and then import it into engage?  I tried that but the introduction, periods, steps, and summary, did not populate into the side panel.  Unless, I'm missing something.

I wanted to see if the accordion would be a better engagement tool for the students.

Thanks,

Bets

Hi Betsy,

Welcome to the E-Learning Heroes community!

Adding an accordion interaction is a great way for learners to explore related items in a horizontal layout. To add text, select an item in the Steps panel on the left side of the screen, then use the center panel to enter text for it. Instead of typing your text, it may be quicker to copy and paste it.

A couple of quick tips if you choose to export your content to an XLIFF file, and then import it into Engage 360:

  • Only modify text in the column titled Translate this column. Leave all other text unchanged.

  • Any text formatting changes, including font, size, color, style, alignment, etc., will be reflected in your interaction when you import the file back into Engage. Once imported, you may need to make minor adjustments to the text.

I hope this helps. If you have additional questions, please let us know!
