Adding Flash animations or Flash interactions
Jun 08, 2011
Hello,
I've been tasked by my company to find out what the capabilities are of Articulate Presenter.
We're using PowerPoint 2010 and Articulate Presenter '09.
Can we add Flash videos, Flash animations, and interactive Flash pieces into the PowerPoint slide that will work after I Publish using Articulate Presenter?
Do I need to insert a SWF or FLV?
I did a test and an FLV movie seems to play ok after I preview the slide.
I did a test using a SWF quiz that I downloaded from FFILES.com, but, when I did a preview, nothing worked. I couldn't click and drag anything. I could SEE the graphic elements on screen, but I could not get any of the interactions to play/work.
Most of the work we'll be doing is building e-Learning course and a client may want some fancy Flash animations, or a Flash quiz, or click/reveal type interactions and I'm trying to figure out the best way to build it and make it work.
I hope this make sense.
FYI - I have checked out the Flash movie best practices page (http://www.articulate.com/support/presenter09/kb/?p=76)
Thanks in advance.

Hi John
Swf or FLV will work needs to be Action Script 2 not 3 (likely the reason why it did not work before), if you follow best practices should not have any problems

so you can embed SWFs in the slides, they just have to be AS2? Why as2? AS3 has been out for years...
think the next version will allow as3 content to play
