Can Movie be shortened in a slide without using external editor?

Jul 11, 2013

I am reeeeeeeeeal new to Articulate but it is my new BFF. I have a simple presentation and on the intro slide I have a 1:48 movie of a bus in traffic. I only want it to play for about 10 seconds (as long as the narration). Is there a way to shorten the playing of the movie without resorting to an external editing software - which I don't have. Thanks & blessing to you!

Hi there Ruth!

What type of video is it that you're inserting? Are you using the "Flash Movie" option through the Articulate Ribbon, or are you inserting from a file through PowerPoint?

If you inserted a video from a file, you should be able to trim the video. To do so, select the video and click on the "Playback" tab. From here, there will be an option in the "Editing" portion of the ribbon for "Trim Video". Here, you'll be able to specify how long you want the video to play.

Thanks!
