Controlling the timing of slide transitions
Jul 29, 2014
I want to run a series of slides which are controlled by automatic transitions - one per minute. I set the timing in the PowerPoint transitions- articulate ignored this. I tried setting the timing in Presenter/options - slides without audio etc to one minute but that didn't help either. Any ideas?
Im actually trying to get a timer into my presentation. Like these

But articulate ignored my timing on the animations so I thought I would try slide transitions, but that doesn't work either ;(

Hi Louise!
Do you have the slide properties to advance automatically? That's the one thing I didn't see you mention.
If you need me to take a look, feel free to share your Articulate Package here.
Yes - I have them set to advance automatically.
Ok. Well, just share if you'd like us to take a look.
Hi, what was the outcome of this?
I have tried everything that I can think of to extend the time a slide is shown to allow the reader more time but it seems to be triggereing off the audio, regardless of the timing i have on my slides. I have been adding blank audio to each audio file and that seems to help but that's a pain. The description of Studio 13 says it handles slide transitions - maybe entry but not exiting?
Hi Richard and welcome to E-Learning Heroes!
If there is audio in your course, this is what controls the duration of your slide. We advise to add silence to the end of your audio if you need them to have more 'time'. You can check out this tutorial.
That's what I thought and that's what I did to overcome this, thanks.
Of course Richard.
