Engage Video Conflicting with a bespoke SWF

Jul 18, 2012

Hi,

I'm developing a course at the moment using Articulate Presenter 09. The course uses a mix of media, including video and bespoke Flash interactions.

The videos are mp4 and have been embedded using the Engage Media Tour so we get a player bar in the videos.

One of the bespoke Flash interactions (an accordion-style item) seems to be clashing with the Engage Media tour. The swf plays fine until one of the videos has played, then it doesn't work properly.

I've created a small demo to show the problem we're experiencing:

https://camtools.cam.ac.uk/access/content/group/877f01a3-9e39-48dd-850d-2a850b8e6fda/Dev/Demo/player.html

If you click on the button "My Interaction" first you should get a working, animated carousel. If you then return to the first page and then press the "Engage Video" button you'll get the video. If you now try viewing the accordion again it's broken - no animation and you can't interact with the accordion.

The accordion uses the FuseKit library to animate the tabs. I have found that if I try reworking the accordion without FuseKit it works, so I'm wondering if there is a conflict between the copy of FuseKit I'm using and whatever the Engage Media interaction uses.

Any help or suggestions greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Nick

Hi Nick, thanks for the demo. I see what you mean. Would you be able to send us your project files so we can take a closer look into this? Please create an Articulate Presenter package, then upload the zip file to our server. You can review how to do this here:
