I am currently using Articulate Studio 13 presenter to export my Articulate Mobile Player content. I notice whenever the text box has a hyperlink text in it, Articulate Mobile Player will not render that text hyperlink. What do I do to fix this?
I simply insert text in the text box, highlight the text and right click for hyperlink to either add a URL or link to a different slides. All the publishes in Flash and HTML 5 version works great except for mobile player version, where the hyper link does not show in the mobile player.
Thanks Philip - I was able to see and replicate the behavior you mentioned here. I reported this to our QA team for additional review, but unfortunately I can't offer a timeframe in regards to this issue and a fix. In the meantime, I'd suggest pointing users to the HTML5 output using the presentation_html5.html link or not including AMP as a publish option.
My hyperlink is also not working in the mobile player, but does work fine if viewed as presentation_html5.html directly without accessing the mobile player.
Hi - it is now 9 months since this issue was raised here and Ashley passed this to QA for a response. This is clearly a bug in the software which removes a basic function of hyperlinking text within online learning which users would expect as a minimum interaction method. There are workarounds to try - invisible shape over text which we are exploring.
However, there must be a response after 9 months to this issue from the QA Team?
Could you confirm the status of this reported bug and also explain in more detail the work arounds suggested
"I'd suggest pointing users to the HTML5 output using the presentation_html5.html link or not including AMP as a publish option."
This issue is still in the hands of our QA team, and it seems to be an issue exclusive to the use of the Articulate Mobile player (AMP). As such, our current workaround and suggestion for this issue is to publish without that as an option but include the HTML5 option - and that way your users who access on an iPad or tablet can view the HTML5 output in one of the supported browsers here.
You can read more about the different publishing option here. As you'll see in that article, once you've published you'll give learners a link to the presentation.html file (it may be different if uploading to your LMS, so you will want to confirm with them). They’ll see the right format for the browser and device they’re using. See this article for details on how this happens.
If you want to include both the HTML5 and the AMP output you could point to the link in the published output that ends with presentation_html5.html as that will direct users to the HTML5 output regardless of where/how they're accessing the link and therefore if they access on a tablet, they'll bypass the AMP and only see the content in the HTML5 browser such as Safari.
Hope that helps clarify, and again once we have additional information we'll certainly include an update here.
Just an update on this issue where Text Hyperlinks were not visible when viewed in AMP has been fixed in the latest update of Articulate Mobile Player version 4.0.
It's available now from the App store - so you could look at updating it on your iPad device. There isn't a list of release notes in that section, but the but I mentioned in regards to Text hyperlinks was fixed.

Hi Philip,
I'm not sure what you mean about it not rendering the text hyperlink? Are you viewing it in an iPad or Android device? You'll want to make sure that it adheres to the system viewing requirements detailed here. I don't see anything documented about hyperlinks not working in the HTML5 or mobile player output here. I do see at least one issue where the hyperlink doesn't work if it was previously covered by another object - so you may want to try reinserting it.

As an example, try to visit on a browser:
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1519136/Testing%20-%20Presenter%20output/presentation.html
And try to visit on an Ipad safari to open from the mobile player, i get the following difference between the two platform:
I am running Articulate Studio 13 (Update 5: 1412.920) and Powerpoint 2010 under Parallels Desktop 7.
Thanks,
P
