Is collaboration easier with Storyline than Presenter
Apr 18, 2017
I'm sure we're all familiar with the limits of collaboration with Presenter 360, while it's good that you can make comments and things using Articulate review it doesn't make it any easier to send actual source files back and forth between SME's (who in my case are also the developers).
Is this easier with storyline? can you send an .story file back and forth without having the "package it up" like you do with presenter (which zips the pptx and pptx files together)?
If my other developer and I just send the .story file back and forth does that work? I'm willing to switch from presenter to storyline to may things easier than the rather labor-intensive process now of packging things up, sending them, unpackaging them, editing them, packaging them up again, sending them.... etc etc.
One of the weaknesses with Articulate Review is that it doesn't act exactly the same way as it would were it installed on an LMS, i.e. if you click on a link with an embedded file, it doesn't work... butthat's only part of the issue, the real (big) issue is the overall workflow of collaborating with other people using presenter who have to make actual changes to the content itself rather than just notations as allowed by Articulate review (which is, a good start and not unhelplful). Thanks, Jim

Hi Jim - The process is much the same as far as working locally and then sharing the file, but you are correct - no packaging required :) At least with Articulate 360, you can choose the best tool for you.
I do feel like you were hoping for some user experience here, so looking forward to others chiming in as well :)
