Module with lengthy slides?
Feb 21, 2012
First off I would like to make sure you know this module that I'm working on does not have any audio/animation involved with it.
I am going through a module and updating the information in it and have came across many slides in the PPT where there are just boring text on screen. The issue I am having is that with some of these slides, instead of the duration being 2 or 3 seconds per slide, the timer is going anywhere from 30-50 seconds.
I have tried this procedure(see link below) but that didn't work for me:

I even went into the audio editor and tried deleting the extra length to the slides then saving but that didn't work either.
The lengthy slide duration shows up for me when I preview the slides and when publishing the slides. I am using Office 2010 and the most current Articulate version.

Hey Adam,
Any justified text in those slides? If you're using justified alignment for text in your presentation, you may find that it takes significantly longer to publish the presentation. Check out this article for more information.
Hi Peter:
I just went through the PPT file and all of the text is either aligned Left or Centered..Some are bulleted notes and some are not, there are a couple images as well.
Well I guess I will just have to recreate the 2 modules that are acting this way. :(
Hi Adam,
Would you like to send us your files so we can take a closer look? If so, please create an Articulate Presenter package, then upload the zip file to our server. You can review how to do this here:
Send to Articulate Presenter Package – Articulate Presenter ’09 Help
Upload the resulting zip file from your computer to our server using this upload form:

Please be sure to include a description of your issue, your version of PowerPoint, version of Windows and version of Presenter '09, which you can find in Help and Support -> About Articulate Presenter. Please also include the URL for this thread so I can follow up with you personally in the forums. And feel free to come back and leave your case number here so I can keep a close eye on it. Thanks!
Adam I have found that using bulleted text is asking for trouble. Flash routinely makes mish-mash of this. I won't use _any_ of the bullet choices. If I must use some kind of trick to set off text elements, I use a little graphic "bit" of some sort.
