My Videos are not being included in the published project when publishing a module.

Jan 06, 2016

I have a Presenter '13 issue where my videos are not being included as part of a published module unless I entirely rebuild the module from scratch.

I start a new project, add slide from video file. My videos are generally .mp4 videos. It then loads the video and the first time I publish the course it encodes the video file and correctly creates the new course.

However, if I go back in to the project and say... remove a video and then republish the content to a new folder, the newly published course does not include the video files. I can verify this by the file size the of the published content.

I am getting this issue 100% of the time, and it is making using Presenter '13 really difficult to use for this type of content. We have Presenter '13 on a few different computers, and each produces this exact same result.

The project includes only 9 videos, but 1 or 2 of the videos are larger (250meg. The rest are 10-30meg.). We have already tried updating / reinstalling, as well.

Hi, Chad -- So sorry for your troubles! Thanks for mentioning that you have already tried the repair steps listed here in step #2, and may I ask which OS you are using? And are you aware of the recent issue with Flash Player 20.0.0.267? Please see here for additional details, and also feel free to let us know the environment in which you are testing your published output, as well.

I am using Windows 7 x64 Professional. We have also tried this on Windows 7x Home x86 (32-bit)

The fix from Adobe on 20.0.0.267 should be out tomorrow, I am unsure if that issue is related or not.

For testing - we are publishing the content and I've tried publishing it to every type and in every case, the published folders do NOT include the videos.

Hi Christie, it is protected New Associate Hiring content, so I would need to email a link to it and not make it publicly available on the community. What would be the most appropriate email to send it to?

I also checked the zip file and it is not packaging any of the videos, so I am not sure if that will help much.

Hi, Chad -- Your need to maintain confidentiality is totally understandable! You may either use this form to upload your file and I would be glad to take a look offline. Or, if you would rather work directly with our Support Engineering staff, here is the link you'd need to submit your case. We would be happy to follow along with their progress and share relevant updates here in the thread. :)
