I have a phantom annimation - an image that is appearing both on the slide on which it belongs & the following slide. I've tried everything to get rid of it - nothing works. I've completely recreated bothslides from scratch - to no avail. What's the deal?
Thanks, to both of you! I will try your suggestion, Dwayne. Phil, I'll try sending you the file, although I'm not sure how to format it to send to you.
I had that happen to me a few weeks ago. i don't recall exactly what I did, but there was an adjustment I made in the actions On Hide and On Show. Hope that helps!
Dwayne - I tried saving it as a new file name, but that didn't work either. I'm attaching the PPTA file - I don't know if you all can open it to see what I'm talking about, but here goes. (PS - The "phantom" is the little receipt that pops over teh 2nd post-it note on the second slide.)Thanks to everyone!
oops Kate seems like the published file again, try upload the ppt file, I dont need the ppta I dont think the animation is in there, just the two affected slides will be fine that should be a really small file
I think this was what you wanted removing, it was visible on my slides so easy to delete, funny enough I have had the same thing happen today on one of mine not sure why
How do I open it? I unzipped the folder, but which folder inside do i open? (PS - If all you did was delete the image, I tried that & it didn't work for me.) Thx!
It should be a ppt file, when I delete the image and preview it is no longer visible, and does not animate, have I got the wrong end of the stick here?
When I open the PPT folder, there's abunch of stuff in there, but it's all html code, not the slides.
Also, I just tried creating the slides in a blank project, then pasted them into the spot where the 2 offendng slides had been (I deleted them). I still get the same problem. Thx!

And here you though Halloween was over, you now have a "Phantamation".
have you tried saving the file as a new version? this will re-create the PPTA file, and graphic links to the pptx file. That might fix it.
Or, delete the offending slide, create that slide in another file, copy and paste to see if that works.
i haven't seen this one before.
Hi Kate
Its difficult to say without seeing the ppt slides is there anyway of posting both those slides, and I will have a look for you

This is VERY frustrating - I don't know how to send it so you can open it! I'm trying again!
