Presentation crashes on publish in Presenter 13
Oct 08, 2013
I am trying to publish my first presentation with Studio '13 and it crashes on publish. I am using a deck provided by an SME in Powerpoint 2010. Some of the text was created using vertical bullet lists. It looks like Articulate is trying to do some kind of conversion of those lists. It creates three extra slides at the end of the deck and crashes when it hits the first slide with that feature. This is happening in RC2. I am anxiously waiting for our IT department to process the upgrade to the new version. This project has some urgency so I would love to hear suggestions.

I narrowed the problem down to an issue with SmartArt in Powerpoint. If I convert the SmartArt to shapes by right clicking on the art and choosing "convert to shapes" it will publish correctly.
Good Afternoon, Brent.
Thanks for helping to isolate the problem!
There were a couple of known issues (1 | 2) with SmartArt in Presenter '09, but I have yet to hear of the problem you are describing in Presenter '13. Would you mind packaging up your course and sending it over to us for a closer look? Thanks!
Brent, thanks for posting. I had the same problem, but I did not see an option to convert the SmartArt to shapes. I converted it to a picture and replaced the SmartArt with the graphic.
Hi Brent.
I was having the same problem.
Finally found this post and have converted all the items that appeared on the additional slides that were created by Articulate at the end of the presentation and now all working well. Thanks so much for the assistance.
