Presenter stops working after Update 3

Hi,
After updating Articulate Studio 4.02 with Update 3, I have the following issues (see attached screenshot for more details):
- Dialog "There are no updates available at this time" pops up every time Power Point opens.
- Presenter simply does not work! Nothing happens when I click on the buttons under "Articulate" tab on the Ribbon in Power Point.
What I have done:
- Multiple re-installations, with reboots and resCleanup.bat
- Followed the instructions posted here: http://www.articulate.com/support/presenter-13/unexpected-or-erratic-behavior-in-articulate-studio-13
Thank you for your support!

I also installed the update and now it does not work. Plus I have a file due this morning. Please don't tell me I need to work off of my C drive!
Waiting to hear if Articulate has a real solution.
Good Morning, Janet.
I'm not 100% clear whether you are saying that you're not currently working from your C: drive, but this is indeed important.
Having said that, since the behavior you are reporting seems to be machine-specific, this is what I'd recommend:
Thanks!
thanks Justin.
I wasn't using slide masters. I'll sub it a detailed case to support.
cheers,
stefano
Thank you Justin for directing me to this forum (I used the search engine earlier but "No items matching my search were found...").
Linda's suggestion solved my publishing issues in Presenter. I did this a few months ago to solve a similar publishing issue in Presenter which I discovered was due to a bug on a specific slide. I had forgotten about this workaround... Thank you, Linda for posting it!
I still can't publish from Articulate Replay, Quizmaker and Engage, but at least Presenter is working.
I look forward to the fixes. In my case, it seems the bug has to do with Windows Explorer.
Earlier today, I discovered and installed an "optional update for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB2830477)" which led me to a "Recommended Windows 7 update for x64-based Systems (KB2923545)" without any visible effects...I guess...
Best wishes to everyone,
Monica
Hello again, Monica.
If the problem persists after trying all of the suggestions above, please submit a Support Case so that we can take a closer look at the problem. Thanks!
Same issue as Steve Strell - we are still stuck in '09 world due to issue we've submitted tickets for back in Feb. I thought I'd see if update 3 by chance resolved some of them - alas, I can't even run PowerPoint without Articulate blowing up! Back to '09 again!
iSpring is looking better all the time!
Sorry to hear that you are having difficulty Jeff.
We encourage everyone that runs across this thread and feels that they have exhausted the solutions shared, to submit a support case so that you can get some one-on-one assistance.
Is there anyplace where I can download the previous version of Presenter 13 (prior to the update 3). My thought is to uninstall Presenter and then re install the version of Presenter prior to the update. I wish I never ran that update!!!!
I have the same problem. Nothing is working. This happens with every update.
Support is where these individual issues are being addressed. Our QA Team is involved as well, so that we can understand the individual issues that users are encountering and get you to your best solution.
Guy, support can assist with that as well.
I updated to Presenter 2013 update 3 and began experiencing the same issues that many of you have experienced. I tried everything but nothing worked. I submitted a support case and was contacted by a representative who suggested some more things to try - nothing worked. I finally uninstalled Presenter and re installed my original version of Presenter 2013 (before the update) Now everything is working fine. Hopefully there will be a fix in the near future. I wish I could get the last 6 hours of my life back!
Is there any update to this issue? At the very least, can update 2 be reposted? Update 3 is broken and I haven't heard anything from Articulate about a solution.
Steve
Yes, we need the Update 2 install so we can at least revert back to a stable build. I personally have exhausted pretty much all my resources and tried what I can to get this software working. Clearly it will not be happening, at least on my end.
I know I should have known better than to install an update mid-build, but this Update 3 should have been better tested before being put out into the public. Food for thought next time.
Please share with us the previous working Update 2 build.
Hi Frank! Thank you for reaching out to support and it looks as if Vira has assisted you.
Steven, as shared above, please reach out to support so that we may assist you as well.
Good Morning, Steven and Frank.
I'm really sorry for the trouble you're having. We actually had a fairly extensive Beta period where none of our customers or internal testers were able to uncover this behavior, so we've been surprised to see problems as well!
Since we don't really want to publicly share a Studio '13 build that knowingly reverses a ton of bug fixes and new features, we're asking all affected customers to contact us directly so that we can gain a detailed understanding of the problems you are experiencing. If we can't help you resolve the problem with a known fix, we'll share the Update 2 installer with you privately, and we'll add you to a list of potential Beta testers for a future update.
Thanks for your patience and understanding!
I hope the solution will be displayed publicly...
I agree with Mario's post. If there are so many people having the same kind of problems as each other then surely a public solution can be issued when sorted. I had similar problems with update 2 and logged cases with staff but in the end had to go back to original Presenter 13 and now dare not try update 3 in case the same happens again! Please, please find a solution soon ...
I'm experiencing all sorts of problems since the update. I've been working the support for a couple of weeks trying one thing after another. I fix one thing, then another problem occurs. I'd like to go back to the original installation as well.
We are spending WAY too much time just trying to get Articulate Studio to work even at a fundamental level.
Let me add my name to the list of people asking for a solution SOON!!
Hello community,
As I said before, in my case, the problem seems to be with Windows Explorer (I use Windows 7). Engage crashed when I tried to replace an image, and Replay crashed when I tried to publish a movie. In both cases, I was working with files created before the update. This does not happen with new projects.
I hope this information helps to find the origin of the problem.
Best,
Monica
Is this problem going to be fixed any time soon? I have students arriving in a couple weeks and do not have the time to reinstall Office, Articulate, etc.. This is unacceptable support from a product that costs so much money.
Bill
Hi William and Randy!
I will share Justin's post above in case you missed it:
Hi all, i am pleased to report that the instructions provided by Articulate support enabled me to get Update 3 working. Basically, I uninstalled Presenter 13 and reinstalled a version that had Update 3 included. It works fine as before on my Mac using Parallels.
I followed these steps they suggested in this email message:
Thanks for popping in with an update William! Glad to hear that you are up and working again.
Hey everyone! I just wanted to pop in with an update. This thread was on our list for follow-up when Update 4 was released, and you can find all the details and download it here.
